Identification & management of lifting machinery & equipment

  • All equipment shall be suitably tagged [with colour coded tags] on inspection, to facilitate immediate identification of the lifting equipment, the colour coding shall be agreed to between the customer and the service provider. A colour shall be allocated to facilitate each three monthly period, to ensure items due for testing are easily identifiable and are re inspected and tested timeously to ensure compliance to relevant specifications and legal compliance.
  • A lifting [stores control] register can be provided to facilitate control of all equipment.
  • A lifting equipment inspection & register guide can be provided to facilitate periodic inspection reporting.

Failed units acknowledgment

  • All items that do not conform to the relevant specifications and procedure shall be logged and detailed and a list given to the responsible person to inform them of the non-conformance.
  • Shutterlock will supply a quotation if so requested to repair [if commercially viable] or  replace the product.
